Richa Sandill is an Associate Lawyer at Rudner MacDonald LLP, a boutique firm specializing in Employment Law services for both employers and employees. She articled with the firm, and was called to the Bar in 2016.

Richa earned her LL.B. degree from University College London in the United Kingdom in 2013, and graduated with honours, including distinction on her final year dissertation.

Richa returned home to Canada that same year to commence the National Committee on Accreditation process. During this time, Richa not only worked in an administrative capacity at various Toronto firms, including Rudner MacDonald, but also actively involved herself in the legal profession. She served as Newsletter Editor on the Executive Committee for the Ontario Bar Association’s Constitutional, Civil Liberties, and Human Rights Section, as well as serving on the Executive of the Ontario Bar Association’s Women Lawyers Forum. She is currently serving her third term with each of these teams, and was also a member of the Articling Students Chapter Committee for the Women’s Law Association of Ontario in 2015/2016.

Richa is a deeply passionate advocate for gender equality and young workers’ rights.  She serves as Director of Research and Policy for the Canadian Intern Association. She has conducted legal research on violence against women in Malawi and Kenya for international women’s rights charity The Equality Effect, as well as contributing public legal education material to METRAC’s Ontario Women’s Justice Network website.

Richa has taken several opportunities to travel extensively throughout Europe, South Asia, and southern Africa, including completing a pro bono legal research internship during law school at Save the Children in New Delhi, India.
