Human Rights

The Human Rights Code prohibits employers from unlawfully discriminating against their workforce. It emphasizes the right of the individual to equal treatment with respect to employment without discrimination or harassment due to race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or disability. This right to equality spans all facets of workplace environment and employment relationship matters relating to employment or prospective employment, advertising job openings, the physical job application itself, recruitment and training, employment transfers, policies, procedures and practices, promotions, apprenticeship terms, dismissal and layoffs. Additionally, rate of payment, hours worked, statutory holidays, benefits, shift work, discipline and performance evaluations are also included in The Code. Involving Rudner MacDonald in all aspects of your business will assist in maintaining the happiest and most efficient workplace possible.
